We build the matching and settlement rails behind dark pools.
Darkpools develops internalization and settlement software for banks and broker-dealers that operate non-displayed liquidity venues. Launched in early 2025, it is built by the engineering team behind Finchainer.
What we do
Two pieces of infrastructure that institutions usually buy from different vendors, built to work as one system.
A dark pool lets institutions trade large orders without displaying them to the wider market, which limits information leakage and market impact. Running one well depends on two things: a matching engine that crosses orders fairly and predictably, and a post-trade process that carries every execution through to final settlement.
Darkpools provides both. Our internalizer matches client orders against internal liquidity at the midpoint of the prevailing best bid and offer. Our settlement layer nets the resulting obligations, reconciles them continuously and instructs delivery-versus-payment on the T+1 cycle.
We are a technology provider. Our clients operate their own venues under their own regulatory permissions; Darkpools is not a broker-dealer, exchange or ATS operator, and we do not trade or hold client assets.

Our products
One path from order to settlement, with a single record the whole way through.
Internalizer
A deterministic matching engine that crosses eligible orders at the NBBO midpoint under strict price-time priority. It supports pegged and conditional order types, pre-trade risk controls and FIX connectivity, and every execution can be replayed for surveillance.
How the internalizer worksSettlement
Multilateral netting, continuous reconciliation and delivery-versus-payment across connected custodians and central securities depositories, with an immutable audit trail that regulators and auditors can examine.
How settlement worksOur story
Darkpools grew out of settlement infrastructure work at Finchainer.
Finchainer builds dedicated blockchains for banks, brokerages and asset managers, with currencies, real-world assets and same-second settlement built in. Solving settlement for regulated firms is at the centre of that work.
Darkpools started inside the Finchainer team as a by-product of that work: the matching, netting and reconciliation components it needed proved useful in their own right to institutions running non-displayed venues. It launched as Darkpools in early 2025.
Since then, Darkpools has been fast becoming an independent offering, focused entirely on the needs of dark pool operators. It continues to be developed by the same engineering team, drawing on Finchainer’s experience building regulated financial infrastructure.
Built within Finchainer
Matching and settlement components developed alongside Finchainer’s infrastructure for regulated firms.
Darkpools launches
The internalizer and settlement platform are offered under the Darkpools name.
An independent offering
Darkpools is fast becoming a standalone product for banks and broker-dealers operating dark pools.
Our team
A multinational team, with core engineering based in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Darkpools is developed by the Finchainer team, which brings together engineers and specialists from several countries. The core developer group, responsible for the matching engine and settlement platform, is based in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Working as one team across Finchainer and Darkpools means our engineers carry the same standards from one product to the other: deterministic behaviour, complete records and systems that can withstand regulatory examination.
Core development of the matching engine and settlement platform, based in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Multinational specialists across product, infrastructure and client delivery.
Shared with Finchainer, so experience from regulated blockchain infrastructure feeds directly into Darkpools.
How we work
The principles behind every part of the platform.
Built to be examined
Reporting, surveillance and recordkeeping are generated from the same source of truth that matches and settles trades.
Deterministic by design
The same inputs always produce the same outcome, so every execution can be replayed and explained.
Your venue, your control
Clients choose where the platform runs and keep control of their flow, data and configuration.
Technology, not a venue
We provide the infrastructure. The regulated activity, and the client relationship, stay with the institution.
